The Committee encourages any individuals who may be interested in becoming involved in the campaign to attend. Campaign Manager Amy Belmore said, ãRep. Calterâs wide base of support includes people from all walks of life, with a range of political beliefs. Weâre looking forward to bringing everyone together for a fun and informative night. Everyone is welcome.ä

Representative Calter, first elected in 2006, is seeking a fourth term. Previously, he served his hometown of Kingston, MA as Vice Chairman of Kingstonâs Finance Committee, and as a member of the Silver Lake Regional School Committee, the townâs Rent Control Board, and the Jones River Watershed Association. He and his wife Patty, 23-year Kingston residents, have been married 32 years and are parents to three adult children: Ryan, Kerri, and Patrick.

Representative Calter, prior to serving in this role, worked in the environmental service industry for more than 30 years. He has worked on the front line responding to oil spills and remediating hazardous waste sites across the country, often in difficult and dangerous circumstances. Calter is a graduate of North Adams State College and earned a Masterâs Degree from Northeastern University. In his business career, he was Senior VP of a publicly-traded company, CEO of the fastest privately held environmental service company in New England, and Senior Partner of RKP Capital Services. He has helped create jobs, mentor young professionals, and helped to re-build struggling organizations.

Calter said, ãIt continues to be a great privilege for me to serve the residents of the 12th Plymouth district. I have enjoyed every minute of my time in this position over the past six years, and I hope and believe I have been able to make a difference. I look forward to seeing friends and constituents at this event as we get underway with another campaign.ä
